UK companies keen on developing graphite mines in Uzbekistan

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 15. UK companies are currently showing interest in developing graphite mines in Uzbekistan, Trend reports.

This was discussed at a meeting hosted by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London with the manager of Uzbekistan Business Consultants Peter Margetts.

During Peter Margetts' visit to the Kashkadarya region on February 2, he was presented with an investment project on the development of the "Zakhchakhanagraphite Mine" on the basis of a public-private partnership.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on further elaboration of this matter with the relevant departments and organizations in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan Business Consultants Company is registered in the UK. Its activity is to provide consulting services in the sphere of trade and investment in Uzbekistan and CIS countries.

Earlier, Uzbekistan and the UK signed a joint road map on the development of trade and investment ties.

The document was signed during the 27th meeting of the Uzbek-British Trade and Industry Council (UBTIC), held in London. The event was attended by the heads of trade ministries and departments of the two countries, as well as industry associations and banks.
