TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 20. Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover volume amounted to $20.9 billion from January through April 2024, Trend reports.
According to the data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, this is 6 percent more year-on-year ($19.7 billion in January–April 2024).
The largest trade turnover volume was recorded with China ($3.9 billion) during this period. Russia ranks second with a total trade turnover volume of $3.8 billion, followed by Kazakhstan ($1.2 billion).
Uzbekistan's exports reached $8.5 billion from January through April 2024, while imports amounted to $12.4 billion.
Among the country's regions, the city of Tashkent accounts for the largest amount of trade turnover - $8 billion, followed by the Tashkent region ($1.6 billion) and the Andijan region ($1.4 billion) during this period.
Meanwhile, as per Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, Uzbekistan's trade turnover volume reached $15.8 billion from January through March 2024. This figure has increased by 6.2 percent year-on-year ($14.8 billion in January–March 2024).
The largest trade turnover volume was recorded with China ($3 billion) during this period. Russia ranked second with a total trade turnover volume of $2.8 billion, followed by Kazakhstan ($937.7 million).
