Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad invited Turkish President Abdullah Gul to Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit in Iran, Turkish media said.
According to state TV, Iranian Foreign Minister Muhsin Telai will visit today Ankara to submit Ahmedinejad`s invitation.
ECO summit will be held in Tahran on March 11 and other member states presidents will be invited for the event.
Pakistan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are members of the organization along with Iran and Turkey.
Before the economic summit, another meeting is also planned among member states foreign ministers.
Annual summits are held in one of the member states to evaluate regional and bilateral developments.
