Iranian FM: U.S. State secretary's statements are mistake
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's statements are wrong, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki was quoted as saying by IRNA.
"Clinton's mistake is that she should not have verbally express the U.S. position on Iran
's letter sent to the IAEA. It was necessary to express the views in an official letter," he said.
Mottaki added that the statements are of propagandistic character.
Clinton named an agreement on the storage and exchange of the Iranian uranium on the territory of Turkey as "gimmick".
According to Clinton, the agreement reached at the talks of the leaders of Iran, Turkey and Brazil, is nothing but Tehran's attempt to avoid tougher international sanctions.
Clinton said the Iranian leadership's new plans do not address the main question of the international community regarding the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program.
