Iran, Italy call for boosting mutual cooperation

Italian Vice Prime Minister Janni Letta held talks with visiting Head of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization (ICHTO) Hamid Baqaei here late Wednesday on issues of mutual interests, IRNA reported.
     
Referring to the importance of fostering two sides cooperation, Letta called for enhanced mutual ties in cultural and tourism fields.

The Italian official also called for inking a cultural agreement between Tehran and Rome, noting that the agreement will pave the way for increasing cultural cooperation.

Pointing to the presence of Italian archeologists in Bam and Pasargad Historical sites in Iran, Letta voiced the Italian side's willingness to help repair and reconstruct Iran's historical monuments.

Referring to historical and cultural commonalities of Iran and Italy, Baqaei, for his part, called for fostering mutual ties in cultural, archeological and tourism.

On Iran's peaceful nuclear program, Iranian vice president criticized the West's double standard policy in this respect.
