An official of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) said that $1 billion has been invested in Tehran Oil Refinery (Tondgooyan Refinery)for improving the quality of gasoline produced there.
Mohsen Qadiri said that gasoline production had increased by 2 million liters.
He stated that the oil and oil derivatives refining capacity has risen to 250,000 liters a day of which 16 percent of it is transformed into gas and 30 percent into diesel.
The CEO of Tehran Oil Refinery noted that the gas improvement project at the refinery to achieve Euro-5 standard and the reduction of sulfur was 90 percent finished and will be finished by next year.
He claimed that the quality of gasoline produced at the refinery is exceptional in comparison to global standards.
