Iran: Mubarak's fall great achievement
"In the past few days, we were witnessing the fall of a great dictator in Egypt who had been in power for almost 30 years and enjoyed the direct support of the US and Israel," Mehmanparast told reporters on Tuesday.
Following 18 days of pro-democracy protests across crisis-hit Egypt, Mubarak stepped down on Friday, handing over power to the Supreme Council of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
After the victory of Egypt's popular revolution, pro-democracy protesters, who have refused to leave streets since Friday, urged any future government to prevent foreign interference in the country's domestic affairs.
According to the United Nations, over 300 people have been killed and thousands others wounded in the Egyptian revolution that began on January 25.
