The Iranian Government has arrested at least 16 students of Tehran's Sharif University since last protests, which launched on Feb. 14, the opposition website www.rahesabz.net reported.
A rally in support of the peoples of Egypt and Tunisia was launched in Tehranon Monday at 11:30 GMT. Rallies also spread to cities Kermanshah, Esfahan and Shiraz. The Iranian opposition's official website Kaleme.com reported that more than thousands of demonstrators went on the streets in the cities of Shiraz and Isfahan. The police tried to disperse the protesters in Azadi and Engelab squares in Tehran, using tear gas.
According Fars news Agency, the protests left two killed and dozens injured in Tehran.
