Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps' (IRGC) defense capabilities have "reached a reliable stage", Deputy Commander of IRGC Brigadier General Hossein Salami said, Press Tv reported with reference to IRNA.
"Compared to the past, IRGC has managed to increase the level of its defensive power to a reliable stage due to constant monitoring of its surrounding," Salami told.
Hailing IRGC's march of progress in various military, security and cultural areas, General Salami said, the IRGC's new methods and modern strategies have reached a progressive stage.
He further added that IRGC is moving forward along with time and has achieved a rapid growth.
The top military official went on to say that IRGC is identified as a developed, modern and powerful organization in various sectors, including military combat, security and soft war.
Iran has launched a campaign for self-sufficiency in the country's defense industry, launching numerous military hardware projects, including aerial and sea-borne military vehicles such as submarines, combat frigates, and various types of missiles.
