Indian Ambassador to Tehran D.P. Srivastava stressed his country's eagerness to increase investment in Iran's energy and Information Technology (IT) sectors, and called for the start of direct flights between India and Iran's Qeshm island in the Persian Gulf, FNA reported.
"In addition to oil, gas and energy fields, investment activists in India can participate in IT and service-providing projects in Qeshm free zone," Srivastava said in a meeting with Managing-Director of Qeshm Free Zone Esfandiyar Heidaripour on Saturday evening.
He also asked for the start of direct flights between India and Qeshm island, saying that the move would increase the number of Indian tourists in the Persian Gulf island.
