Iran’s technical, engineering services exports up 24 percent

Iran's technical and engineering services exports increased by 24 percent in the first six months of current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 20, compared to the same period of the previous year, Iranian Deputy Industry, Mine and Trade Minister Hamin Safdel said on Sunday.

Safdel didn't mention the exact value of the exports, the Mehr News Agency reported.

Iran has the capacity to annually export technical and engineering services worth over $20 million, head of Iran's Technical and Engineering Services Exporters said on Saturday.

Iran exported technical and engineering services worth $1.095 billion during the first five months of current ‎Iranian calendar year (ended on August 20).‎

During the mentioned period, the goods worth $12.6 billion (excluding gas condensate) ‎were exported to China, UAE, Iraq, India, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Turkey, ‎Turkmenistan, Pakistan, and South Korea.‎

According to Deputy Mine, Trade and Industry Minister Masoud Movahedi, Iran exported technical and engineering ‎services worth $4.1 billion in the previous calendar year (ended on March 20).‎

Iran also exported 37 million tons of non-oil goods worth $21 billion in the first six months of current Iranian calendar year, Safdel said.
