Iran as chairman country of the the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) urges all member countries to condemn the attack on Gaza by Israel and break the relations with that country, Iranian FM spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said, IRNA reported.

The Israeli Air Force carried out attacks on Thursday (2nd day of operations on the Gaza Strip), aimed at about a 100 targets and killing three members of the HAMAS movement's military wing, bringing the total number of killed Palestinians to at least 11.

Mehmanparast said that in an answer to Israel's attack on Gaza strip, all NAM member states should break their relations with Israel.

"As NAM chairman, Iran strongly condemns Israel's attack on Gaza Strip. Unfortunately since International organizations keep silent about such incidents, innocent people continue to die, and Israel has become impudent," Mehmanparast said.

Operation "Pillar of Defense" carried out by Israel today has been a large scale operation carried out with tanks and naval ships, as well as planes.

Representatives of the Israeli political leadership and military command do not rule out a land invasion.

Last time Israel brought ground troops into the enclave was in the winter of 2008-2009. Then the victims of the operation amounted to about 1400 Palestinians.
