Iranians standing next to Venezuelans in the road to progress - President
IRI President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, by referring to imposed heavy pressures of hegemonic powers and enemies of humanity against world independent nations, said that Iranians are standing next to Venezuelan people in the way of progress and justice, IRNA reported.
According to the report of Presidential Office Website on Friday, President Ahmadinejad, upon his arrival at Caracas Airport, told reporters, "I congratulate Venezuelan people on holding a very good election and also Nicolas Maduro who has been elected by the great nation of Venezuela."
He stressed that Venezuelan nation should rapidly build a progressive, powerful and well-off country, while carrying the flag of justice and freedom in Latin America.
Ahmadinejad said today is the day of solidarity, cooperation and joint efforts for progress and honor of Venezuela.
He went on to say that late President Hugo Chavez was one of the Latin American heroes and a great historical character in the world, who is familiar to all nations.
"He loved all Venezuelan people and all nations and struggled for establishing justice, prosperity and progress of nations," said President Ahmadinejad.
The president added that Chavez will remain in the mind of everybody for ever.
Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, Minister of Road and Urban Planning Ali Nikzad, Minister of Communication and Information Technology Mohammad Hassan Nami, Head of Non-Aligned Movement Secretariat Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaei, Senior Advisor to President Mojtaba Thamare Hashemi, Vice-President in Constitution Execution Mohammad Reza Mirtajeddini, Vice-President in Management Development and Manpower Resources Gholamhossein Elham, and Vice-President in Execution Affairs Hamid Baqaei are accompanying President Ahmadinejad in his visit to Caracas to attend the oath taking ceremony for new Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
