Iran's knowledge based companies revenues hit $250 million

Iran's knowledge based companies have returned $250 million foreign currency revenues to the country in last Iranian year (March 21, 2018 - march 20, 2019),said Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology.

"The knowledge based companies' financial turnover in last year was more than $250 million, and the majority of them are run by young people, which is very encouraging," said Alireza Bagheri, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"There are more than 40,000 university graduates working in the field of science, technology parks and knowledge-based companies in the country," he added.

"The new policy of Ministry of Science, Research and Technology is to monitor academic affairs, while part of the Ministry's power will be assigned to universities," he noted

"Creating jobs for university graduates is a serious issue for the Ministry. Hopefully, increasing the number of think tanks, technology parks and academic centers will provide more employment opportunities for them," he said.
