Iran to launch trade fair in Russia's Volgograd
Tehran, Iran, Sept.12
Iran's Mazandaran Province is to launch a trade fair in Volgograd's Chamber of Commerce in the near future, said the provincial deputy of economic affairs.
"The trade fair would be a display of 76 exhibits," said Hassan Kheirianpour, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Launch of trade fair will have an important role in increase of non-oil exports. Establishing trade fairs in other Russian provinces including Saratov is part of Mazandaran future plans," he added.
"Mazandaran Province seeks to improve economy with cooperation with similar provinces in other countries," he added.
A delegation from Volgograd has traveled to Mazandaran Province in May to improve economic, trade, technology, social and cultural ties.
Two sides signed memorandum of understanding so that each province can establish barter trade for agriculture products.
Another delegation from Saratov has also visited Mazandaran province twice in last Iranian year (started March 21, 2018).
The statistics in 2018 show that Volgograd had a $63-million trade with Iran while Iran's trade volume with Saratov stood at $30 million.
