TEHRAN, Iran, Sep.1

Trend:

There have been concerns about essential commodities reserves that were resolved, said Iranian President, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Ebrahim Raisi has indicated essential commodities were stored but the amount was far from the desirable volume that was resolved in recent days, the related ministries will monitor the market to prevent any violation in supplying commodity.

The president has also noted the import of the coronavirus vaccine has increased and expressed hope for opening schools and educational centers by vaccinating teachers and students in the new school year.

"There has been good news from the increase of vaccine import simultaneously with rising of domestic vaccine production while the number of vaccination centers has grown by three times," he said.

The President has explained that promoting transactions with neighboring countries is one of the government's priorities.

"The government should have active diplomacy with neighbors and it should make all efforts to increase trade and economic cooperation with neighbor countries since there are proper fields for improving these ties and increase Iran's share in regional transactions," Raisi noted.

The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) has already supplied about $15 billion for importing basic and essential commodities as well as medicine in the first four months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021).
