BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 6. A total of 10 trillion rials (about $238 million) are currently in operation in projects owned by Iran's Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company, deputy general director of Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company, Hadi Sheikh Moghaddas said, Trend reports.
According to him, tenders have been organized for several of the company's projects, and operational works have been launched in connection with the allocation of 4.5 trillion rials (about $107 million) of the aforementioned funds.
The company official announced that they are currently planning tenders for projects worth 5.5 trillion rials, or about $131 million.
Sheikh Moghaddas stated that, in addition, passive defense projects in the company have a value of 24.7 trillion rials (about $588 million).
Meanwhile, the Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company transports crude oil and oil products to refineries and consumption points in the country through more than 14,000 kilometers of pipelines.
To note, during the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024), a total of 137 billion liters of crude oil and petroleum products were transported to 31 provinces of Iran. The volume of crude oil and petroleum products transported in the provinces increased by 3.7 percent compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022, through March 2023).
