Weekly performance of Iran’s gold & currency market

The price of one gram of the 18-karat gold decreased by 3.24 percent over the last Iranian week to stand at 1438750 rials (about $32) on the weekend.

The price of Bahar-e Azadi (Spring of Liberty) gold coin gave up five percent over the week and stood at 14,450,000 rials ($321.5) on the last day of the Iranian week, Thursday.

Meanwhile, the value of the US dollar against Iranian rial in the free market decreased by 4.77 percent to post 44943 rials on Thursday.

The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) put the official rate of the US dollar at 37,210 rials on Thursday, an increase of 0.32 percent compared to the preceding week.

According to the country’s real-time data sharing system, SANA, euro lost 7.27 percent to rest at 55235 rials on the weekend. The official rate of euro decreased by 1.19 percent to stand at 45682 rials.
