By Elnur Baghishov - Trend:

As many as four trillion rials (about $95 million) and $120 million have been allocated to develop the second phase of the Tang-e-Bijar gas field in Iran’s Ilam province, said Ramin Hatami, managing director of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC), Trend reports with reference to the website of National Iranian Petroleum Company (NIOC).

He said that the work on the field has been launched since last Iranian year (March 21, 2018 - March 21, 2019). Presently, drilling is underway at the wells, he noted.

Hatami added that drilling has been completed at three wells, and the necessary equipment and pipes are being installed.

“The development project envisages that the TCF (Trillion Cubic Feet) section will increase daily production of gas from seven million cubic meters to 11 million cubic meters and the daily production of gas condensate will grow from 8,500 barrels to 13,000 barrels,” he said.

A 20-kilometer 8-inch pipeline will be built to transport the produced gas condensate, he noted.

He added that the Central Oil Fields Company will create a booster station in accordance with the decision of NIOC to develop the second phase of the Tang-e-Bijar gas field.

“This will provide fuel for both the Ilam processing plant and the downstream industry facilities,” he said.
