The Head of Combustion Development Department at IPCO Company and EMS-ECU Development Project Manager said in order to develop and upgrade Iran-Khodro cars, ECU development plan and domestic production of Engine management system (EMS) parts was launched by IPCO.
“The EF7NA + will be the first engine to be equipped with an internal ECU,” the Head of Combustion Development Department at IPCO Company and EMS-ECU Development Project Manager Amirhossein Parivar said, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.
“The main goal of this project is to achieve Iran Khodro Industrial Group a set of ECU hardware and software that can meet customer needs,” he said.
Parivar said that the purpose of this project was to gain knowledge of ECU platform design in the field of hardware, basic software, and application software so that Iran Khodro Industrial Group can use it in various products.
“The Jetco Company, as a partner of this project in the development of hardware and basic software, and Electric Khodro Shargh Company, as a manufacturer of ECU parts, will participate in this project,” he noted.
Stating that the product of this project will be used on the EF7NA + engine since the fall of 2022, he added that immediately after that, this part will be placed on other Iran Khodro products.
