Index of Iran's TSE plummets

TEHRAN, Iran, May. 31

The overall index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) fell sharply on Monday, dropped 10,963 points to 1.145 million.

About 5.1 billion shares valued at $1 billion changed hands at TSE for the day, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.

The indices of Isfahan Oil Refinery Co. had solely the most positive impact in TSE.

The indices of National Copper Industry Co., Mubarakeh Steel Co., Mellat Bank, SHASTA, TAMIN PETROLEUM & PETROCHEMICAL INVESTMENT CO., and Iran Khodro Group Co., had the most negative impact on TSE on Monday.

The FaraBourse Index has dropped 117 points and reached 17,724 points in total over 1.1 billion shares changed hands at Farabourse today.

TEDPIX, which had been experiencing a surprisingly rising trend since the last days of the previous Iranian calendar year (ended on March 19, 2021), hit the record high of two million points on August 2, 2020, but then it began to drop, coming down to 1.2 million points.
