TEHRAN, Iran, August 27. Iran's top automakers, SAIPA and Iran Khodro (IKCO) have signed a cooperation agreement to produce an affordable vehicle, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The two automakers signed an agreement to establish a joint production unit with modern technology and infrastructure to manufacture an economic vehicle.
The agreement would include the study and design of the product, building a prototype, establishing a production line, and after-sale services.
Iran Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade is supporting the two automakers to produce high-quality and economic products affordable for the middle class that is also proper for export.
