Iran's Information and Communications Technology Minister Mahmoud Vaezi will make a working trip to Moscow, RIA Novosti quoted Naser Seraj, head of Iran's General Inspection Office, as saying Oct. 29.
He said the timeframe for Vaezi's visit is being specified.
"I'd like to inform you that Russia's telecom and mass communications minister [Nikolai] Nikiforov was in Iran last week, he met his counterpart, and they reached very good agreements on a range of issues," Seraj said Thursday at a meeting with Irina Yarovaya, chairwoman of the security and anti-corruption committee of the Russian State Duma.
He added that Iran's ICT minister, too, would soon arrive in Russia to continue the talks.
Consultations were held Oct. 29 in the Russian State Duma upon an initiative of the Iranian side.
During the meeting, Naser Seraj officially invited Irina Yarovaya to visit Iran.
