Representatives of the ANC continue to flatter Prosperous Armenia (PA) and representatives of the PA claim that the two forces do not have a clear understanding, just a standoff not to hit each other, Hraparak newspaper writes, News.am reports.

"It will be at least naïve to believe that the leader of the ANC so selflessly devoted himself to promoting the PA, sacrificing the electorate. He is preparing his team for the upcoming presidential elections, to protect the candidate from the PA which may be declared a single opposition candidate.

It is not known if Ter-Petrosyan intends to be a candidate and supporters of the leader of the ANC believe that this is unlikely to happen. The most suitable candidate is Vardan Oskanyan. It won't be difficult to convince the ANC to support Oskanyan, because there are convincing arguments.

According to our data and the agreement between the ANC and the PA, if Oskanian is elected, then Robert Kocharyan will be appointed prime minister. This would mean part of the power will be transferred to ANC and in particular, Levon Zurabyan will be appointed vice-premier and Gagik Jhangiryan - Attorney General as well as several ministerial portfolios.

"ARF may support such an agreement. The only parliamentary force that did not join the agreement is Heritage. However, it is not the only scenario. It is possible that Oskanyan will not be accepted by the public and the consolidation around him will not take place. In this case, PA will prefer to support the candidature of Serzh Sargsyan and the ANC will remain out of work," Hraparak writes.
