Syrian citizens of Armenian descent, the driving license of whom do not comply with the Convention of 1968 On traffic will be able to replace a driver's license without taking the exam in accordance with the decision of the Armenian government, Armenia Today reported.
According to Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, the decision is designed to organize all of the existing regimes in such a way that the conditions have been created to maximize the smooth resolution of Syrian Armenians' difficulties. Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan noted that this decision will resolve the process of changing license for Syrian Armenians; otherwise it would be difficult for them to employ. She also stressed that driving license, which issued in Syria doesn't comply with order of driving license issue in Armenia.
Armenians arrived from Syria must present a passport or other identity document if there is no data on place of residence in the aforementioned documents then the appropriate reference must also be provided. Receipt on payment of the statutory state tax is attached to the document.
