Georgia, Tbilisi, April 19 /Trend N.Kirtzkhalia/
The progress in tje relations between Georgia and NATO will be fixed in the resolution of the Chicago summit, Chairman of the Georgian Parliament David Bakradze said at a briefing.
Bakradze noted that the Georgian side expects the reflection of statements related to the progress of Georgia in the laws and orders at the Chicago Summit.
"We have heard that Georgia is now much closer to NATO and to join the alliance than it was in Bucharest, or earlier. Therefore, we expect that this proximity and progress will be adequately reflected in the documents of the Chicago Summit, but it is too early to talk about the form and ways, because the work is still ongoing. One of the preparatory stages of this work are the ministerial meeting held in Brussels. But in any case, I think we can be confident that the progress of Georgia, as well as progress in relations between Georgia and NATO will be fixed in the regulations of the summit " Bakradze said.
Bakradze said the last Ministerial Council and meetings, which were held in its framework, were successful.
"Ministerial Council has been very successful, Foreign Minister of Georgia held very good meetings, and all of this primarily serves as a preparation for the Chicago Summit" Bakradze said.
