The imports of petroleum products to Georgia totaled 80,780 tons in August or 2,000 tons more than in the previous month.
The Union of Petroleum Products Importers told Trend on Tuesday that petrol imports amounted to 36,800 tons, diesel fuel - 44,000 tons.
The import of petroleum products to Georgia totaled 210,600 tons in summer or by 14,400 tons less than in the same period of last year.
The imports of oil products amounted to 506,500 tons, including petrol - 227,500 tons, diesel fuel - 279,000 tons in the first eight months of 2013.
According to the Union, the entire import of oil products and consumption remain at a high level.
