Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili urged local TV companies to take more responsibility. He made this statement at a meeting with representatives of the Georgian information services and leading TV companies on Wednesday.
The prime minister said his government provided TV companies and media outlets with freedom. However, it is necessary to understand the responsibility for disseminating information that could mislead the public.
Ivanishvili believes that not only the government and the authorities, but also journalists are responsible for the situation in the country.
Ivanishvili said that Georgia needs 'objective journalism'. He said his government has completely fulfilled all the promises without any gross mistakes.
