German Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrived in Georgia Dec. 8 for a two-day visit.
He was met at the Tbilisi International Airport by Georgia's Deputy Foreign Minister Giga Gigiadze and Georgian Ambassador to Germany Lado Chanturia.
Germany's Federal Foreign Office said on Twitter that Steinmeier's visit will focus on talks on bilateral cooperation and the European perspective of Georgia.
Steinmeier will first meet tonight with the Foreign Minister of Georgia Tamar Beruchashvili.
