Georgian egg imports from January through August 2021 decreased, while exports have increased, National Statistics Office (Geostat) said, Trend reports via Georgian media.
According to Geostat, Georgia imported 7.5 million eggs worth $207,400 from January through August 2021, compared to 22.7 million eggs ($1.8 million) over the same period of 2020.
Georgia exported 3.7 million eggs ($851,600) over the first 8 months of 2021, compared to 3.6 million eggs ($690,500) over the reporting period of 2020.
Georgian egg exports in the first 8 months of 2021 accounted only for Azerbaijan, Geostat said.

Czech Republic – 5.4 million eggs
Turkey - 1 million eggs
Hungary – 602,000 eggs
Netherlands – 302,000 eggs
Russia – 180,000 eggs
