The value of hazelnut exports from Georgia from August 1 through November 7, 2021, amounted to 12,400 tons ($56.4 million), Trend reports via by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
The exports of hazelnuts over the reporting period of 2021 increased by $7 million, or 14 percent, while the volume increased by 39 percent, the Ministry said.
TOP-5 importers of Georgian hazelnuts (Aug. 1 through Nov. 7, 2021):
Armenia – 719 tons;
China – 578 tons;
Ukraine – 236 tons;
Russia – 211 tons;
Belarus – 164 tons.
TOP-5 EU-importers of Georgian hazelnuts (Aug. 1 through Nov. 7, 2021):
Italy – 12,383 tons;
Germany – 2,090 tons;
Spain – 402 tons;
Czech Republic – 401 tons;
Poland – 311 tons.
Meanwhile, According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Georgia exported 82 tons of hazelnuts to Azerbaijan over the reporting period of 2021.
