Georgia shares data on petroleum oil, gas imports from Kazakhstan

Georgia’s imports of petroleum and petroleum oils from Kazakhstan from January through November 2021 amounted to $1.09 million, which is almost 17 times less, compared to $18.4 million over the reporting period of 2020, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office (Geostat).

According to Geostat, the amount of the exported petroleum and petroleum oils to Georgia only in November 2020 totaled $2.7 million, while over the same period of 2021 Georgia did not import petroleum and petroleum oils from Kazakhstan.

Meanwhile, Georgia imported $1.1 million worth of petroleum gases from Kazakhstan over the first 11 months of 2021, which is a decrease of 15.3 percent, compared to $1.3 million over the same period of 2020.

Georgia’s imports of petroleum gases from Kazakhstan only in November 2021 amounted to $377,080, which is an increase of 10.3 percent, compared to $341,640 over the same period of 2020, and an increase of 56.7 percent, compared to $240,500 worth of imports in October 2021.

Georgia’s total imports of petroleum and petroleum oils from January through November 2021 amounted to $737.8 million, which is an increase of 63.6 percent, compared to $450.9 million worth of oil imports over the same period of 2020.

Meanwhile, Georgia’s imports of petroleum gases from Kazakhstan over the first 11 months of 2021 totaled $281.3 million – an increase of 4.8 percent, compared to $268.3 worth of gases import over the same period of 2020.
