Georgia shares data on medicine imports from Turkey

Georgia’s imports of medicine from Turkey from January through November 2021 amounted to $40.1 million, which is an increase of 2 percent, compared to $39.3 million over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).

Turkey’s exports of medicine to Georgia only in November 2021 increased by 34.4 percent, compared to the same period of 2020 ($2.9 million), and by 39.2 percent, compared to October 2021 ($2.8 million), and totaled $3.9 million.

Thus, Turkey ranked second among main medicine exporters to Georgia over first 11 months of 2021, following after Germany ($46.1 million), while Hungary ranked third ($32.5 million).

Meanwhile, Georgia’s imports of medicine from January through November 2021 amounted to $334.3 million, which is an increase of 19.1 percent, compared to $280.6 million over the same period of 2020.
