Six killed, two injured in clashes and suicide bombing in Iraq
Six people were killed and two others injured in related violent events in the Iraqi city of Heit, police sources said on Wednesday, DPA reported.
A clash between police and gunmen in a crowded market in Heit, 130 kilometres west of Baghdad, left three policemen and two gunmen dead.
A third gunman was injured in the confrontation. Police took him to the Heit teaching hospital, not knowing that he had a belt of explosives strapped to his body, police sources said.
Upon arrival, the gunman blew himself up, killing himself and critically injuring two civilians.
