League foreign ministers are to meet in Saudi Arabia on Sunday for a crisis meeting on Syria, said Ahmed Bin Heli, the deputy chief of the pan-Arab organization, reported dpa.
"It is expected during the meeting, which will be headed by Kuwait, to discuss who will replace Kofi Annan (an international envoy for Syria)," Bin Heli said in Cairo.
The talks will precede a conference of Muslim leaders due to be held in the Saudi city of Jeddah on Tuesday, added the official.
