. ( Sky ) - Police are hunting a gunman after two students were shot at Delaware State University in the US.
Classes have been cancelled for the day and everyone on the campus has been told to stay in their buildings.
The two victims, a male and a female, have been taken to hospital.
The male student is in a stable condition, and the female has serious injuries, a statement on the university's website said.
The students were shot near Memorial Hall around 1am, it added.
Those not on campus are being told not to go there.
"The university is implementing a plan to provide essential services to its residential population on campus," the statement said.
"Because the suspect is still at large, residential students are directed to remain in their residence halls for their safety until further notice."
