( dpa ) - Midfielder Frank Lampard had the red card he was shown in Chelsea's 4-0 Premier League win over West Ham rescinded by a Football Association (FA) disciplinary panel Tuesday.
Lampard was shown the red card following an incident involving Luis Boa Morte, in which he seemed first to kick out at the West Ham midfielder and then shoved him over.
But referee Peter Walton admitted he had made a mistake.
Lampard will not now be banned for Chelsea's next three matches - Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final at Barnsley and Premier League games against Derby and Sunderland.
