Snipes was just sentenced to three years in jail for not paying his taxes, and Whoopie thinks he's been used to set an example for the American people. She says that celebs who break the law are being used as scapegoats by the government to deter other people from criminal activity. She says, "This is not unusual. With tax evasion, (the IRS) gets very, very agitated and if you're famous they are putting you behind some kind of bar." Uh, yeah, so what's your point, Whoopie? Isn't that what the law is for, to punish people who break it, and set an example for others?
