The Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) is expected to make a statement later Thursday on the issue of three German mountaineers taken hostage late Tuesday, the PKK-affiliated Firat news agency reported.
In a short report that was date-lined Amsterdam and posted on the agency's website, Firat reported that a statement from the People's Defence Forces, code for the PKK, was expected sometime on Thursday, reported dpa.
