Eleven people were killed when two passenger buses collided along a highway in the eastern Philippines on Tuesday, police said, dpa reported.
Twenty-seven people were also injured in the pre-dawn accident in Pamplona town in Camarines Sur province, 255 kilometres south-east of Manila.
Police said the buses were traveling in opposite directions along Maharlika Highway when one of them occupied the other lane, causing the smash-up.
Eight people died on the spot, while three victims expired while being treated in a nearby hospital where the injured passengers were rushed, police said.
