The cooperation with the IOM contributes to the improvement of the relations between Belarus and the European Union, Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Brunson McKinley told media in Minsk on September 18, reported BELTA.

According to him, the IOM has noticed positive trends in the development of the relations between Belarus and the EU.

"The IOM is not a political organization; we are working in the non-political areas. But we are living in the world of politics, and the Belarus-IOM joint programmes resulted in some positive changes. These projects showed Belarus as a positive power in the international relations," the IOM Director General noted.
