Israel said it was pausing its offensive in Gaza for another three hours Monday, to allow international organizations to receive and distribute humanitarian aid in the strip, reported dpa.
The humanitarian truce was affective from 10 am to 1 pm (0800 to 1100 GMT), Major Peter Lerner of the Israel Defence Ministry's office, which coordinates Israeli government activities in Gaza, told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.
Some 150 trucks with food, medical supplies, blankets and other items were scheduled to enter through the Kerem Shalom and Karni crossings, he said.
No more diesel would enter through the Nahal Oz fuel crossing, because the Palestinian side of the crossing was full and fuel trucks had to pick up some of the supplies on their side of the border first, he said.
