DPRK approves S.Korean delegation's visit to border town for talks

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) approved Monday the planned visit by a South Korean delegation to the border town of Kaesong to discuss their joint industrial survey overseas, Seoul's Ministry of Unification said Monday, Xinhua reported.

In a two-day visit, a 16-member South Korean delegation including nine officials participating in working-level discussions will meet with their counterparts at the industrial complex in the border town of Kaesong, where the two sides are expected to evaluate their joint industrial survey to China and Vietnam conducted in December last year, according to the ministry.

The bilateral meeting is the first such meeting this year, which clears doubts that threats Pyongyang recently issued against Seoul last week might delay the talks, local media said.
