Ash cloud worries cause Inter to travel early to Madrid

Inter Milan will travel on Wednesday evening to Madrid for Saturday's Champions League final against Bayern Munich to avoid any possible disruption by the latest Icelandic volcanic ash cloud over European airspace, DPA reported.

According to Tuesday's Gazzetta dello Sport, UEFA has recommended both clubs travel early to Spain.

Inter will train at Real Madrid's facilities in Valdebas ahead of the match at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Until now, Jose Mourinho has preferred to fly his team in a day before a Champions League game as happened against Chelsea and Barcelona in the previous two rounds.

Barca were forced to travel to Milan for their semi-final first leg by bus because of flight disruptions.
