Participants at the International Conference on Afghanistan in Kabul supported on Tuesday a program of national priorities proposed by the country's authorities and vowed to support further efforts to restore security and peace, RIA Novosti reported.

Participants at the International Conference on Afghanistan in Kabul supported on Tuesday a program of national priorities proposed by the country's authorities and vowed to support further efforts to restore security and peace, RIA Novosti reported.

In particular, support was given to the national strategies aimed at developing a system of governance, providing the rule of law and the observing of human rights.

The final communique of the conference pledged support for the strategies directed at economic and social development, attaining peace, national reconciliation and reintegration, security, regional cooperation, and the fight against drug production.

Tuesday's International Conference on Afghanistan in Kabul played host to a range of participants from over 70 countries.

Participants also discussed the timeframe for troop withdrawal by the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force.
