EU can count on cooperation with Iran to pursue its regional policies if it would modify its behaviors and approaches in advance, said an IRI Deputy PM Wednesday.
According to IRNA, the Information and Media Head Office of the IRI Ministry of Foreign Affairs further quoted Deputy Foreign Minister in European Affairs, Ali Ahani as saying in a meeting with the German Foreign Ministry's Managing Director for Middle East, Near East and Eastern Affairs, Andreas Michaels that the potentials for cooperation in both sides are plenty.
Ahani added, "Imposing of the recent unjustifiable sanctions of the EU against the Islamic Republic of Iran has mad the European firms lose the Iranian markets, while other foreign companies are rapidly replacing them."
Andreas Michaels, too, emphasizing the importance of bilateral ties and welcoming the comments made by the various delegations of the two countries regarding the need for restoration of bilateral trade, considered applying their suggestions as a good way fro grater mutual understanding and assisting for the improvement of bilateral relations.
The German Foreign Ministry's Managing Director for Middle East, Near East and Eastern Affairs meanwhile had a separate meeting with the IRI Foreign Ministry's Western Europe Affairs Managing Director in which the two sides exchanged views on the expansion of bilateral ties.
