An earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale jolted South of the Fiji Islands at 21:11:48 GMT on Sunday, the US Geological Survey said, Xinhua reported.
The epicenter, with a depth of 569.97 km, was initially determined to be at 25.4526 degrees south latitude and 178.2198 degrees east longitude.
