Week of NATO starts in Ukraine's defense academy

(www.for-ua.com) вЂ" The seventh International week of NATO stars today in the National Defense Academy of Ukraine

According to the press service department of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine, the objective of such annual traditional activity is to inform the audience, scientists of National Defense Academy of Ukraine, high military institutions, representatives of Defense Ministry and General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine and public organizations about modern trends of development and transformation of North-Atlantic Treaty Organization, principles and methods of NATO structures, results of peace-making operations and military initiations of the Alliance and also about concrete prospects of cooperation of NATO with Ukraine, reports Trend.

The representatives of the Alliance arrived to Kyiv headed by the Head of the Defense College of NATO lieutenant-general Mark W. for participation in the International week of NATO.

Moreover, the deputy chairman of the Military committee of NATO lieutenant-general Thomas Baptiste will arrive to Kyiv to observe the scope of the NATO week.

The importance of the current week is that it takes place after Riga's summit of the Alliance, where that significance of the Special partnership of between Ukraine and NATO was noted.

The International week of NATA in the National Defense Academy of Ukraine will last up to February 9.
