Some 77,800 tourists from the US visited Turkey in July 2019, which is 31.37 percent more compared to the same period in 2018, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey told Trend.
"The share of US citizens in the total number of foreigners visiting Turkey over this period amounted to 1.18 percent," the ministry said.
It was noted that 331,400 tourists from the US visited Turkey in January-July 2019, which is 33.15 percent less compared to the same period in 2018.
"The share of US citizens in the total number of foreigners visiting Turkey in January-July 2019 amounted to 1.34 percent," the ministry said.
Some 6.617 million tourists visited Turkey in July 2019, which is 16.67 percent more compared to the same period in 2018.
Over the indicated period, Antalya was visited by 2.5 million tourists, and Istanbul by 1.6 million tourists.
According to the information, Turkey was visited by 24.6 million tourists in January-July 2019, which is 14.11 percent more compared to the same period in 2018.
