From January through October 2019, over 1.1 million commercial flights were carried out in Turkey, which is 1.2 percent less compared to the same period of 2018, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
During this period, there were 535,142 domestic commercial flights and 604,879 international commercial flights.
In the reported period, the number of domestic commercial flights decreased by 12.7 percent, while the number of international commercial flights increased by 11.8 percent, according to the ministry.
During the reported period, a total of 458,579 commercial flights were carried out at three main airports of Turkey - Sabiha Gokcen, Esenboga and Antalya airports.
